Women's Tennis Defeats DePaul, 4-2

CHICAGO, Ill. - Army West Point women's tennis earned an impressive 4-2 victory on Sunday over the DePaul Blue Demons to finish 2-0 on its Chicago trip. Justine Dondonay and Paola Bou both posted two wins on the afternoon to help Army secure its second victory of the season. 
HOW IT HAPPENED
In it's second match of the weekend, Army women's tennis put together a strong group effort to earn a key victory over DePaul.
The action started on the doubles courts where Paola Bou and Sophie McKenzie breezed to a 6-2 win at the No. 2 doubles position. Justine Dondonay and Carolyn Ahn took care of business on the third doubles court, winning their match, 7-5 to clinch the doubles point for Army and give the team a 1-0 lead in the contest.
In the singles portion of the match, Caroline Vincent powered past her opponent on the second court to give Army an early 2-0 advantage. DePaul battled back to tie the match at two points a piece after wins at the first and sixth pairings.
Paola Bou gave Army a 3-2 advantage with her win on the third singles court. The senior battled to a 6-1, 4-6, 6-1 victory. Justine Dondonay clinched the match for the Black Knights at the fourth singles court, coming from behind to earn a thrilling 5-7, 7-5, 6-2 victory.
Army improved to 2-3 on the season with the result, winning both matches on its Chicago trip.

Army will have the week to prepare for its home opener at Lichtenberg Tennis Center this coming weekend. The Black Knights are set to play three matches on Jan. 28-29 against Seton Hall, Binghamton and Sacred Heart.
