Women's Tennis Powers Past Seton Hall, 7-0

WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Army West Point women's tennis team (3-3, 0-0 Patriot) opened up Lichtenberg Tennis Center in style on Friday afternoon, cruising to a 7-0 sweep of Seton Hall (0-1, 0-0 BIG EAST).
An all-around effort from the team boosted the Black Knights to their third straight win to even their record at 3-3. The Cadets flew past the Pirates, outscoring their opposition 90 games to just 35.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Playing on its home court for the first time this Spring season, Army put on an impressive show at the Lichtenberg Tennis Center from start to finish. As always, the action began on the doubles courts where Army's top pairing of Stephanie Dolehide and Caroline Vincent ran away with a 6-1 win. The plebe duo of Cooper Jackson and Paige Herremans also took care of business at the second pairing with a 6-2 victory. Paola aBou and Sophie McKenzie followed suit with a 6-2 win of their own as Army went into the singles portion of the match up 1-0.
In singles action, Paige Herremans extended the Army lead to 2-0 with a 6-2, 6-1 win at the sixth singles match. Her doubles partner, Cooper Jackson, was not far behind, securing a 6-2, 6-2 win and another point for the Black Knights with her win on court three. Paola Bou and Justine Dondonay both added wins on the fourht and fifth courts to clinch the match for Army. At the top of the ladder, Stephanie Dolehide and Caroline Vincent were finishing off their opponents to earn 6-3, 6-4 and 6-4, 6-4 wins at the first and second singles pairings, respectively.

Army will return to the courts at Lichtenberg tomorrow morning for a doubleheader with Binghamton. Matches are to take place at 10 AM and 3 PM.
