Women’s Tennis Sweeps Bucknell on the Road

LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Army West Point women's tennis team closed out its regular season with a 4-0 victory over Bucknell on Saturday afternoon at the Varsity Tennis Courts.
The Black Knights (22-9, 5-2 PL) were dominant throughout the competition and limited the Bison (12-8, 3-3 PL) to three points or less in each of the singles matches that were scored.
Army built its lead early, taking the bottom two courts in doubles play to collect a 1-0 lead. The pair of Paola Bou and Sam DiMaio were first to finish, posting a 7-6 result at the second spot, before Cooper Jackson and Paige Herremans secured the advantage with their 6-1 win on the second court.
Herremans carried her momentum into singles play, quickly taking down her opponent 6-1, 6-2 at the sixth flight. Bou then put the team on the verge of clinching with a straight-set win at No. 4 singles, which was followed up by a dominant 6-0, 6-3 triumph by Caroline Vincent, who competed at the second spot in the lineup, to end the action.
What's Next
Army will prepare for the posteason, as the team is set to compete in the Patriot League Championships. The tournament will run from Friday, April 22 through Sunday, April 24 at Lehigh. Details will be released as they are finalized.
