Women's Rugby Begins Spring Season With Victory Over Navy

LEESBURG, VA - Army West Point women's rugby began its spring season with a 15-5 victory over Navy from Segra Field. The game was played as a 15s match ahead of the upcoming 7s season.
Army jumped out to a 12-0 lead and never looked back, allowing just one try in the game. Sydney Schaaf supplied the first try for the Black Knights while McKhaye O'Boyle also got on the scoresheet with a try,
Alissa Eisenhart made good on a conversion to give Army the 12-point advantage, before scoring a penalty kick to make the final score 15-5 in favor of the Black Knights.
Army will now shift its focus to the 7s season, beginning with a tournament next Saturday hosted by American Internation College, tabbed 'AIC 7s'.
