Men's Rugby Takes Down Arkansas State 49-22

WEST POINT, NY – The Army West Point men's rugby team took home a big 49-22 win over Arkansas State Saturday afternoon at the Anderson Rugby Complex.
The first 18 minutes saw neither team score until Nate Gould picked up a try at the 18:30 mark. After the conversion Army led 7-0.
Army would lead 21-0 before Arkansas State would break through making it 21-7.
The Red Wolves would score again before halftime but the Black Knights would take a 21-12 lead into the break.
Army rattled off two tries and two successful conversions to start the second half to go up 35-12.
A try from Caleb Doyle would push the Army lead to 42-22 and one final score from the Black Knights would make it an insurmountable 49-22 lead with just over ten minutes remaining.
The Black Knights now shift their focus to the USA Rugby D1A National Championship Playoffs where they will host Davenport in the first round on April 8 at noon. The match will take place at Anderson Rugby Complex.
