Gymnastics Places 11th at NCAA Championships; Sends Three to Individual Finals

Maddox Pabellon (pommel horse), Franco Peirano (vault) and Joseph Buselmeier (rings, h-bar, p-bars) each advanced to the finals on Saturday with their individual marks.
Buselmeier, who finished fourth in the all-around scoring (75.830), turned in Army's top scores in the three events he met the qualifying standard in Session I to advance forward. His highest finish was 16th place, tying with three others, on parallel bars with a 13.466. He was 17th on still rings behind a 13.233 and placed 19th on high bar (13.033).
Pabellon posted Army's highest finish in an event as his 13.2 on pommel horse earned him the 12th spot in that event. Peirano turned in Army's second highest finish in placing 13th on vault and his 14.3 score was the highest mark by a Cadet at the meet.

- He tied for 16th on parallel bars (13.466), was 17th on still rings (13.233) and 19th on high bar (13.033)
- Pabellon advanced on pommel horse where he placed 12th (13.2)
- Peirano qualified on vault and his score of 14.3 was the highest mark by Army.
- Gabe Almeida posted his highest score of 13.166 on floor exercise.
- Jacob Nauman scored a 14.0 on vault, Corban Barstow posted a 13.8 and Pabellon a 13.7
- Army recorded its highest team score of 69.466 on vault.

Returning on Saturday for the individual finals, Pabellon turned in Army's highest finish placing 28th among the nation's best on pommel horse with a 13.1.
Buselmeier started the day on still rings where he recorded a score of 13.366, bettering his qualifying mark of 13.23, to place 32nd overall. The Army sophomore also competed on parallel bars (13.1) and high bar (12.7)
Peirano then posted a mark of 13.933 on the vault for Army's highest score of the night.
