Golf Finishes Final Round of Patriot League Championship

PHOENIX, Md. – The Army West Point golf team finished the Patriot League Championship in seventh place following another rain-soaked round on Sunday.

The Black Knights concluded the three-day tournament with a team score of 924 (+60). Lehigh won the title by six strokes over Colgate and finished the three rounds with a 30-over score as a team. Yuxuan Song won the individual Patriot League title with a final round 71 (-1) to record a 1-over for the tournament.

John Heckel Jr. was Army's best player throughout the weekend and was named All-Patriot League First Team after a fifth place finish. He shot a 5-over 77 on the final day and ended up 8-over for the tournament.

The Black Knights finished the 2022-23 season, which was highlighted by a Star win in the fall over Navy and the CIC Cup Championships earlier this month at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club.
