Army West Point Athletics Announce Several Promotions and Personnel Changes

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point Athletics, under the direction of Director of Athletics Mike Buddie, has announced several promotions and personnel changes to optimize the department.
David Allen – Director, Sports Medicine
Allen was promoted to Director after serving as Senior Associate Athletic Trainer. He currently works with the cross country, track & field, and rifle teams. Allen has supported the Athletics department since 1989.
Shane Bell – Associate Athletics Director, Event Operations, Facilities & Capital Projects
Bell was promoted to oversee both event operations and facilities & capital projects. Bell has supported the Athletics department since 2011.
Robert Brown – Assistant Athletics Director, Internal Operations
Brown joined Army West Point in 2018 and was promoted from Director, Internal Ops to his new Assistant Athletics Director role.
Charissa Conley – Director, Business & Ticket Operations
Conley was promoted to Director and has served in the Army Athletic Ticket Office since summer of 2000. She has supported the Athletics department since 1996.
Sydney Griffin – Associate Athletics Director, External Strategy & Operations
Griffin joined the department in 2021 and has been promoted from Assistant Athletics Director to her current role of Associates Athletics Director, External Strategy & Operations. She focuses on the strategic alignment of time and resource allocation relative to all external areas (e.g., athletic communications, digital/social strategies, creative and video services, fundraising, broadcasting, licensing and branding) in the athletics department.
Stephanie Hanuman – Associate Athletics Director, Human Resources
Hanuman was promoted from Director, Human Resources to her current position of Associate Athletics Director. She joined the department in 2021 and now serves on the department's Executive Staff.
Amanda Johnson – Director, Game Operations & Event Management
Johnson came to West Point in 2020 and has been promoted to her current role after serving as Associate Director, Game Operations & Event Management.
Ben Leary – Senior Director, Sports Medicine
Leary joined the department since 2012 and was recently promoted from Senior Associate Athletic Trainer to Senior Director, Sports Medicine. Leary serves as the athletic trainer for men's basketball and sprint football.
Jacqui McCann – Assistant Athletic Director/Head Football Athletic Trainer
McCann was promoted to Head Football Athletics Trainer, becoming the first-ever female head football athletic trainer in Army West Point Athletics history. She previously served as Senior Director of Sports Medicine and ha supported the Athletics department since 2013.
Conor McCorry – Senior Assistant Director, Athletic Communications
McCorry was promoted to his current role after serving as the Assistant Director, Athletic Communication. He joined the department in 2022 and currently serves as the primary media contact for the hockey, women's lacrosse, women's rugby & men's tennis programs along with serving as the secondary contact for football.
Caroline Miltenberger – Senior Assistant Director, Ticket Sales
Miltenberger was promoted after serving as the Assistant Director of Ticket Sales. She joined the department in 2021.
Kathryn Mirance – Associate Athletics Director, Business Office
Mirance has been at Army since 2021 and was promoted from Assistant Athletics Director, Business to Associate Athletics Director, Business Office.
Ayden Opfer – Assistant Athletics Director, Football Operations
Opfer was elevated from Director of Football Operation to Assistant Athletics Director of Football Operations. Previously, he was the graphic content & communications coordinator for football and joined the department in 2021.
Emily Polanowicz – Director, Internal Operations
Polanowicz joined the Army staff in 2021 and was elevated to Director after previously serving as Assistant Director.
Dana Putnam – Assistant Athletics Director, Sports Medicine
Putnam was promoted from Associate Head Athletic Trainer to Assistant Athletics Director, Sports Medicine. He is the primary athletic trainer for Army's lacrosse and sprint football teams and works closely with team physicians, hospital staff, ancillary medical personnel, coaches and staff. Putnam has supported the department since 1988.
Rachel Leahy Ross – Director, Sports Medicine
Ross was promoted from Assistant Athletic Trainer to her current role as Director, Sports Medicine. She currently works with the men's ice hockey program and has previously worked with the Army men's rugby, women's volleyball and softball teams. Ross assists with all Army Summer Sports Camps held at West Point. Ross joined the department in 2019.
Allison Wright – Assistant Athletics Director, Administration Operations
Wright was promoted from Special Assistant to the Director of Athletics to her current role as Assistant Athletics Director, Administration Operations. Her primary responsibilities are to provide administrative support and to serve as a direct liaison between the Academy and the Athletic Director. She joined the department in 2019.
