Women's Rugby Welcomes Dartmouth on Saturday for Home Opener

WEST POINT, NY - Army West Point women's rugby will return to Anderson Rugby Complex for the first time this season on Saturday night, taking on defending National Champion Dartmouth at 7:00 p.m.

Last Time Out
The Black Knights were defeated at Sacred Heart in the season opener last Friday night by a score of 31-7. Army won the second half 7-5 after being shut out through the opening forty minutes. Army got on the board in the 46th minute with a try from Asha Jarusinski and a conversion from Alissa Eisenhart.
Scouting the Big Green
Dartmouth comes in riding a 19-game winning streak in NIRA 15s, with its last defeat coming in 2019. The back-to-back defending NIRA champions, Dartmouth opened up its season this past week with a dominating 79-0 victory over Penn State. Simone Bautista and Asialeata Meni paced the Big Green with three tries each against the Nittany Lions, while Abby Kayser made good on five conversions.
Series History
The Big Green currently ride a three-game winning streak against the Black Knights, with Army most recently prevailing in Hanover on October 5, 2019 by score a of 39-19. Dartmouth hosted the Black Knights this past season, collecting a 24-15 victory in Hanover. The teams famously met in the 2021 National Championship game at West Point, with Dartmouth coming out on top 28-18.
