WEST POINT, N.Y. – Josh Scovens led the four Black Knights in double figures Wednesday night, AJ Allenspach had a career night on the boards and Army West Point Men's Basketball defeated the FDU Knights 84-70 at Christl Arena.

Allenspach recorded a career-high of 12 rebounds Wednesday, eclipsing his previous best of 10 at LIU Dec. 19, 2021. With eight points, the Simpsonville, S.C. native was just a field goal away from his first career double-double.
Jorn Everson had a career-high 13 points off the bench, with the junior scoring 10 or more for the first time in his career. The Williston, N.D. native was 3-for-4 from 3-point range and shot an efficient 71% from the field.

Rucker had 12 of his points before halftime, helping the team take a 41-31 lead into the locker room. Army out-rebounded the Knights 23-17 in the game's first 20 minutes and knocked down six three-pointers during that stretch.
The Black Knights started fast out of the gate, opening an 11-7 lead at the initial media timeout. A 12-0 run then created separation for Army in the first half, stretching the lead to 19-7 at the 12:51 mark.
The 12-point advantage was trimmed in half by the 4:34 mark, but the Black Knights closed the period with a Curry three-pointer and a Rucker three-point play to widen the lead back to 10.
Army shot 53% from the field in the opening 10 minutes of the second half, stretching their lead to 66-49 and subsequently went up 18, its largest lead of the night.
But FDU swiftly cut the lead throughout the rest of the half, and Army saw its advantage trimmed to 76-70 with three minutes to play.
However, Army would close the game on an 8-0 run, punctuated by six made free throws.
