AIKEN, S.C. – The Army West Point golf team wrapped up the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate on Tuesday and finished in 14th on the team leaderboard.
The Black Knights shot a 903 (+63) as a team. Davidson College won the team title with a score of 845 (+5). Rory McDonald O'Brien of USC Aiken won the individual title at 3-under par for the tournament and he won by one stroke.
TOURNAMENT NOTES
• John Heckel Jr. finished in a tie for 22nd on the individual leaderboard at 7-over.
• Heckel Jr. had his best round on the first day with a second-round even-par 70 for the Black Knights.
Next up for the Black Knights is the Schenkel Invitational at Forest Heights Country Club in Statesboro, Ga. Â
