Women’s Soccer Bests Bucknell Bison in 4-0 Win

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point women's soccer defeated the Bucknell Bison (3-7-5, Patriot League 1-2-3) by a score of 4-0 on Wednesday night to earn their third Patriot League victory. For Army West Point (9-4-2, Patriot League, 3-2-1), senior Brigid Duffy netted her third brace of the season, extending her Patriot League goal lead to 12.

- The Black Knights started the scoring off a strike from the left foot of senior Brigid Duffy at 6:21. Sophomore Bella Conti passed the ball to senior Bella Cooke at the top of the box. Cooke back passed it through to Duffy in the box. Duffy took the ball around the Bucknell defender and into the back of the net.
- Neither team scored again going into the halftime break. Just 46 seconds into the second half, Duffy struck again to double the Black Knight lead. Cooke passed the ball into the box to Duffy. Duffy quickly turned and fired a shot that beat the Bucknell goalkeeper up top.
- At 62:08, Conti passed the ball over to senior Cami Silvestro near the midfield line. Silvestro carried the ball for a step and took a long-range strike that curved into the back of the net to make it 3-0.
- The Black Knights scored the fourth of the night at 67:14 off the foot of freshman Sophia Henry. Junior Maddi Woodward picked up the ball and carried it down through the box. Woodward played it into the middle of the box, connecting with Henry in the box.
