Golf Plays Strong Through Two Rounds to Finish Day One in Second Place

GLEN COVE, N.Y.- Army West Point golf is currently sitting in second place with a 286-297-583 (+23) after a strong first two rounds at the Nassau Intercollegiate on Monday, Oct. 20. Sophomore Tyson Sparks is currently sitting in fifth place after a shooting a 69 (-1) in the first round.
Additionally, Griffin Garvin started the tournament strong, hitting a hole in on the first hole of the tournament. Garvin is the only golfer thru two rounds to hit a hole in one and one of two to have recorded an eagle or better in the competition.
Senior Rob Ferris is sitting in top 10 position with a seventh place individually after 73-72-145 (+5) thru two rounds.
The Black Knights will look to finish strong tomorrow for round three at Nassau Country Club. The first tee time is schedule at 9:30am for freshman William Huang.
