BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After a crucial road victory on Friday night to clinch a spot in the Patriot League Tournament, Army West Point's Eric Lusskin, Michael Guiry and Jack De Simone earned Patriot League weekly honors, the conference announced on Monday afternoon.

Lusskin, a native of Long Valley, N.J., was named the Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week. He is coming off his best collegiate game on Friday night after scoring the game-winning goal and recording an assist in Army's 2-0 victory over Loyola Maryland. He broke the scoreless tie in the 35th minute after converting on a free kick from outside the top of the box. It was a low line drive off his right foot to the bottom left of the goal and tucked just inside the post. Lusskin also assisted on De Simone's goal in the 63rd minute for his first assist of the season.

Guiry earned his third Goalkeeper of the Week nod on Monday after posting a three-save shutout against Loyola Maryland. The sophomore from Jacksonville, Fla., has six shutouts on the season, which ranks third in the conference and 41st nationally. Guiry has stopped 81.4 percent of shots faced, putting him second in the conference and 18th in the country. He has also just allowed 0.906 goals per game, another mark that is second in the Patriot League and top 50 nationally.

For the second consecutive week, De Simone was named the Rookie of the Week after another strong offensive performance. The freshman from Sedalia, Colo., scored his fourth goal of the season to give Army a massive 2-0 lead with under 30 minutes to play. De Simone finished a great cross from Lusskin and has now scored in each of the last three games. He is second on the team in goals, points and shots on goal this season.
Army is back in action on Tuesday night at 6 p.m., at the team welcomes Colgate to Malek Stadium for the regular season finale. Information about postseason and seeding and the Black Knight's first round matchup will be available following the game.
