Women’s Soccer Goes Dancing for First Time Since 2011 after Beating Boston U. in Patriot League Championship Game

BOSTON, Mass. – Army West Point women's soccer secured the 2025 Patriot League Tournament Championship in a 3-2 victory over No.1 Boston University (11-5-3) on Sunday afternoon. For the Army (14-5-2), this is the first time winning the tournament since 2011 and marks the program's first victory over Boston U. in the Patriot League postseason.
Notably, senior Brigid Duffy set a new single-game record for assists, recording on all three of Army's goals. Junior Sabrina Rogers was named the Patriot League Tournament MVP after recording her second brace of the season, which included the game-winning goal, while freshman Sophia Henry scored her 11th goal of her freshman campaign. Jordan Follenweider, Brigid Duffy, Sophia Henry and Sabrina Rogers were all named to the All-Tournament team.

- The Black Knights started strong scoring just three minutes into the match to take the lead early. Senior Brigid Duffy played a thru ball to junior Sabrina Rogers and connected the pass perfectly with a score into the back of the net.
- At 37:42, freshman Sophia Henry doubled the Army lead with a goal of her own. The freshman forward collected a loose ball in the box and fired a shot into the back of the net.
- The Black Knights would take 2-0 lead into the halftime break. The Terriers would get on the board early in the second to cut into the Black Knight lead.
- Rogers connected again for the brace at 81:33. Duffy dropped off a pass to Rogers, who delivered her second goal of the game to put the Black Knights in front 3-1.
- The Terriers answered back to make it 3-2 but it proved to be futile.
