Ericson and Reardon Sweep Weekly Patriot League Basketball Honors
December 15, 2025 | Women's Basketball
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After impressive showings in Army's win over Cornell last week, Reese Ericson was named the Patriot League Player of the Week, while Reganne Reardon was named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week, the conference announced on Monday afternoon.
This marks the first time this season that an Army player has earned a weekly Patriot League award, and it comes after a 1-0 week in which the Black Knights defeated Cornell, 76-52, on the road.
Tuesday was a historic night for Ericson, who became the 20th player in program history to reach 1,000 career points after scoring a team-high 17 on 6-12 shooting. Ericson also buried five threes in the victory. Shooting the ball wasn't the only area where she made an impact, as she dished out three assists and grabbed a rebound. She is second on the team in scoring this season, averaging 11.8 points.
Reardon, a Chicago native, is starting to find her groove at the collegiate level and had her best game to date against Cornell. Reardon scored a career-high 12 points on 6-10 shooting. Her strong performance marked the first time in her young career that she has scored in double-digits in consecutive games. Reardon also made an impact in other areas of the game, as she snagged five rebounds and dished out an assist. The Black Knights outscored the Big Red by 26 points when she was on the court.
This week marks the first time Army has had a player of the week since Trinity Hardy earned the honor on Nov. 25, 2024. Reardon is the first rookie of the week since Kya Smith won it on Nov. 13, 2023.
Army is pausing competition through Christmas, and will return to the court on Dec. 29, as it takes on Howard.
