Offensive Lineman Will Jeffcoat Named to FWAA Second Team All-America
December 18, 2025 | Football
WEST POINT, N.Y. — Senior offensive lineman Will Jeffcoat, the starting left guard for the Army Black Knights, has been selected to the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) Second Team All-America for the 2025 season.
It marks the first time since the 1958–59 seasons that Army has produced FWAA All-America players in back-to-back years, following Lucas Scott, who earned Second Team honors in 2024.
Jeffcoat, a native of Pelion, S.C., anchored Army's offensive line as the lone senior starter throughout the 2025 campaign, starting every game at left guard. He emerged as a full-time starter this season after making two starts in 2022 and serving as a key reserve in 2024, when Army's offensive line won the Joe Moore Award.
Throughout the year, Jeffcoat was a catalyst in Army's ability to control the line of scrimmage and dominate time of possession. The Black Knights ranked first nationally, averaging 34:27 per game. Most notably, at Kansas State, Army held the ball for more than 40 minutes and converted six of seven fourth-down attempts. Against North Texas, the offensive line paved the way for 488 total yards, including 387 rushing yards, and did not punt.
Jeffcoat also helped propel quarterback Cale Hellums to a standout season, as Hellums rushed for 1,178 yards and 16 touchdowns on 289 carries, averaging 98.2 rushing yards per game. It marked the first time since at least 1995 that an Army quarterback recorded back-to-back seasons with 1,000 rushing yards and 10 or more touchdowns, joining Bryson Daily (1,659 yards, 32 touchdowns in 2024).
Jeffcoat helped spearhead multiple dominant rushing performances, including a 304-yard rushing effort against Charlotte, and was instrumental in the academy rivalry win at Air Force, where Army rushed for 193 yards. He closed the American Conference regular season by helping block for more than 230 rushing yards at UTSA.
