Jack Ivey Earns Atlantic Hockey America Rookie of the Week

BOSTON - Army West Point hockey freshman forward Jack Ivey has been named Atlantic Hockey America Rookie of the Week, announced today by the league.
Ivey led the Black Knights with five points on the weekend as Army took five points from first-place Sacred Heart with a shootout victory and regulation victory.
In game one of the series, Ivey had the primary assist on both of Army's goals in the game, having set up Barron Woodring and Vincent Salice on each of their goals. Returning for game two, Ivey scored two power play goals after the Pioneers took a five-minute major for a hit on Ivey before tabbing another assist in the third period on a goal from Brent Keefer.
It marks the first weekly award in Ivey's career, as he is now the third Black Knight to receive rookie of the week honors this season after JJ Cataldo and Nils Forselius.
Ivey now ranks second on the Black Knights in both goals (8) and points (19) and is second among all freshman in the conference in points.
Ivey and the Black Knights will look to keep the momentum going with a series at Air Force this weekend on Friday and Saturday.
