Wrestling Defeats Binghamton on Senior Day

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point Wrestling secured a dominant, 30-6 win over the Binghamton Bearcats on Senior Day at Christl Arena Sunday, claiming eight of the 10 total bouts.

The Black Knights conclude the regular season with an 8-3 record and a 5-2 mark vs. EIWA opponents.Â

Charles Farmer and Ethan Berginc opened the dual with their second match wins in as many weeks, with close decisions. A pair of back points proved decisive for Berginc in the second period as Army took a quick 6-0 lead in the dual.Â

Richard Treanor followed with a 4-2 decision victory at 141 lbs, before Mason Barvitskie's first career dual match win, 8-2 by decision at 149 lbs.Â

Gunner Filipowicz recorded his 23rd win of the season at 165 lbs, tied with Trae McDaniel for most on the team in 2024-25.Â

After Jakob Gilfoil won by decision in the 184 lb bout, Wolfgang Frable recorded a fall at 197 lbs, and Brady Colbert claimed victory by forfeit at heavyweight.Â
