Golf Concludes Weather Shortened Palmetto Invite

AIKEN, S.C. – The Army West Point golf team finished the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Invitational in 12th-place in the two-round tournament on Tuesday.
The Palmetto Invite was postponed on Monday due to weather and the team picked up where they left off, but could only play 36 holes instead of the planned 54.
The Black Knights completed the two rounds with a team score of 613 (+53). Clemson won the team title at 3-over par. Oscar Abrahamsson of USC Aiken won the individual title at 2-under following a 6-under in round two. He tied with Henric Bjelke of Campbell and won in a playoff.
TOURNAMENT NOTES
• Drew Jeffords finished as Army's top golfer in a tie for 25th on the leaderboard at 10-over par after the two rounds.
• Jeffords shot a 2-over 74 in the second round as well with six birdies during his round.
The Black Knights return to action on March 21 for the Schenkel Invitational in Statesboro, Ga., at the Forest Heights Country Club.
