It makrs the fifth victory in program history over a ranked opponent as all five have come during the Michelle Tumolo era.
Brigid Duffy was all over the field for the Black Knights, logging six points through two goals and four assists to go along with five caused turnovers, eight draw controls and two ground balls.

Army built up a 3-0 advantage as Reilly consistently got her shot off, scoring thrice in the opening 15 minutes as Duffy and Ryan Remaly assisted on a pair. After losing the draw control 4-0 in the first quarter, Army won 11 of the final 18 as the team's split the draw evenly.
Stanford battled back in the second frame, scoring five times but Reilly added two more off Duffy helpers to bring the score to 5-5 at halftime.
The Black Knights struck first in the second half with Lily Valentini feeding Chloe Garrett as the juniors connected to give Army back its lead.
Stanford scored the next two to take its first lead at 7-6, but Army tied it just 13 seconds later from a solo goal from Duffy after she controlled the draw. It was Duffy again who broke the deadlock in the final minute of the quarter, putting Army ahead 8-7 heading into the fourth quarter.
The 2-0 spurt quickly turned to a 5-0 run as Army took command with an 11-7 advantage with 8:45 left to play. Sarah Chernik scored her third of the season after being unmarked while going into the offensive end while Garrett notched her second of the game and Remaly capped the run with her first of the game.
With Army running down the clock, the weather played a factor as heavy rains fell in the closing minutes of the game. Stanford cut the lead down to two with two minutes remaining, but after gaining possession with a woman-up, Duffy took her third charge of the game to secure possession and the win for Army.
The Black Knights improved to 4-0 at Michie Stadium this season with the win.
Army will head to Lafayette in a return to conference play as opening draw is set for noon on Saturday from Easton, Pa.
