Men's Tennis Advances to Patriot League Semifinals with Victory Over Colgate

LEWISBURG, PA - Army West Point men's tennis (13-7, 4-3 Patriot League) picked up a win over fifth-seeded Colgate (12-8, 4-3 Patriot League) in the the Patriot League Quarterfinals on Friday morning from Bucknell University.

After dropping the doubles bout on court one, Jackson Armistead and Daniel Choi brought Army back with a 6-2 win on court two. With the doubles point in the hands of Vishnu Bodavula and Alan Ton on court three, the duo clutched up for the Black Knights and logged a 7-5 win to put Army ahead 1-0 in the match.
With Army falling behind 2-1 after dropping a pair of singles matches, Matías Feoli evened up the score with a two-set win at flight five. Jackson Armistead then recorded a (6-3, 6-1) win on court one to push Army ahead 3-2. Alan Ton won his first set on court two by a 6-4 mark before dropping the second set 6-0. Ton showed resilience and clinched the match for the Black Knights, winning the third set by a 6-2 scoreline.
