Gymnastics Caps Historic Season with First Top-Ten Finish at NCAA Championships in Program History

ANN ARBOR, MI - The 2025 Army gymnastics squad continued to break down barriers and etch its name into the history books of the United States Military Academy with its first ever top-ten finish at the NCAA Championships.
The Black Knights kept its momentum from its famous win at the ECAC Championships earlier in the month to log a score of 311.091 at the national meet to finish ahead of both Navy and William & Mary.

Army saw three individuals qualify for Saturday's event finals, with Maddox Pablleon on pommel horse, Jaden Blank in the all-around and Conor Heary on parallel bars.
The Black Knights competed in the second session in Friday's qualifier, alongside Illinois, Michigan, Navy, Ohio State and Stanford.
Pabellon qualified for Saturday with a 13.933 on pommel horse to pace Army to a 53.032 mark in the event with Noah Duran (13.333) also posting a positive result.
Heary's qualification came from his 13.766 on parallel bars, as Army's team score came in at 51.031.
Ben Aguilar led the Black Knights on floor exercise with a 13.333 mark as Joseph Buselmeier (13.033) and Cash Johnston (13.000) also logged strong numbers to push Army's team score in the event to 52.299.
Blank's all-around total came to 74.698 to earn his spot on Saturday, highlighted by his 13.433 on vault which trailed only Nick Lester's 13.666 as Army's 53.398 in the event was its highest mark in any discipline.
Blank also paced Army on high bar (12.766) with Johnston's contribution of 12.566 helping Army to a 50.032 mark in the event.
Both Heary and Buselmeier came in at 13.033 on still rings with Gabe Almeida tabbing a 12.900 to help Army achieve a 51.299 team score.
Returning on Saturday, Pabellon logged a 13.733 to earn a top-ten finish in the event nationally, landing in tenth place.
Blank's total came out to 76.766 on Saturday to earn him 11th place as Heary tabbed 30th on parallel bars with a 12.833.
Army's campaign comes to a close highlighted by the new standard at NCAAs and its first ECAC Championship in nine seasons under second year head coach JD Reive.
