Women's Lacrosse Sees Five Selected as All-Patriot League Honorees

Midfielder Brigid Duffy, attacker Allison Reilly and defender Meghan Pedrani were selected to the all-conference first team while defender Sarah Chernik and goalkeeper Lindsey Serafine tabbed all-conference second team honors.
Brigid Duffy, Junior, Midfield - Queensbury, NY
Duffy was the top two-way midfielder in the country this season, leading the Patriot League in goals per game (4.07) and ground balls per game (2.93) while being second in caused turnovers per game (2.07), third in points per game (5.53) and fifth in draw controls per game (6.20). She has totaled 61 goals, 83 points, 93 draw controls, 44 ground balls and 31 caused turnovers to this point. Her caused turnover and ground ball totals each set the single season program record as Duffy led Army's top-ranked defense in the conference. Duffy broke Army's all-time points record with her 182nd career point at Marist this season, broke Army's all-time goal record with her 132nd career goal at Colorado, broke Army's all-time draw control record with her 223rd career draw control against Boston Univeristy, broke Army's all-time ground ball record with her 100th career ground ball against Loyola Maryland and broke the all-time caused turnover record with her 64th career caused turnover at Lehigh. Duffy is the only player in the country with 70-plus points and 30-plus caused turnovers. She is also the only player in the country with 60-plus goals and 90-plus draw controls while also being the only player in the country with at least four goals per game and 30-plus ground balls. Duffy won a league-high five conference midfielder of the week honors this season as the first team all-league selection also marks the third of her career.
Allison Reilly, Junior, Attack - Sayville, NY
Reilly had an historic campaign for the Black Knights, leading the conference in points per game (6.20) which also puts her at third in the country. Totaling 55 goals, 38 assists, 93 points, 23 draw controls and 15 ground balls, Reilly was at her best in conference play, leading the circuit in both goals per game and points per game in Patriot League contests. She recorded at least four goals in seven of the nine conference games while putting up at least seven points in six of the nine Patriot League bouts. The junior broke Army's all-time career assists record with her 88th career helper in April and is three points away from breaking her own single season points record which stands at 95. Reilly received Patriot League Attacker of the Week a league-high six times including matching the record with five straight. She was one of two players in the country to record 50 goals and 35 assists to this point in the season. It marks the the second consecutive season that Reilly has garnered first team all-league recognition.
Meghan Pedrani, Junior, Defense, Neshanic Station, NJ
Pedrani earns her first career all-conference nod after a standout season defensively for the junior, leading all defenders on the team in both caused turnovers with 19 and ground balls with 22. Dominating her matchups as well, Pedrani helped the Black Knights to the top-ranked scoring defense in the conference this season. She had five separate games with multiple caused turnovers and multiple ground balls with season-highs of four caused turnovers against Rutgers and four ground balls at Holy Cross. Pedrani also comitted just 15 fouls on the season with only two green cards.

Lindsey Serafine, Junior, Goalkeeper, Tabernacle, NJ
Serafine earns her first career all-conference recognition after leading the Patriot League in both save-percentage (.467) and GAA (9.40) as the backbone of Army's top-ranked defense in the conference. Serafine boasted a 13-2 record in the regular season, breaking the single season program record for wins in the regular season finale. The junior logged double-digit saves in three conference games including a season-high 12 at Holy Cross while saving 10 of 11 shots at Lafayette and 10 of 15 against Bucknell. She allowed six goals or fewer in seven of her 15 starts and earned three different Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week honors during the regular season.
Sarah Chernik, Defense, Junior - Milton, GA
Chernik was a key contributor for Army all-around the field, serving as the team's primary draw taker while holding a starting role on the defense. Chernik totaled 63 draw controls on the season including 51 in conference play (5.67 draw controls per game) which ranked her seventh in the conference. She recorded eight or more draw controls in five of Army's nine conference games including ten against both Boston University and Lehigh. The junior also contributed 14 caused turnovers, 15 ground balls and three goals as she earns her first career all-conference recognition.
