May 13, 2025 | Baseball
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Army West Point Baseball's Justin Lehman has been named John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Week by the College Baseball Foundation.
Lehman was instrumental in Army's win over Navy in the Patriot League Semifinal Series, with the Black Knights coming back from a one-game deficit to sweep Sunday's two games in Annapolis.
The senior earned the start in Army's win in Game 2 of the series; which was also the first game of Sunday's twin bill. Lehman collected his second career start vs. Navy of over 100 pitches, with 142 total pitches over seven innings, allowing just one run, collecting six strikeouts and taking the win.
Lehman also started each game in the batting order, going 5-for-13 with four RBIs across the best-of-three series. In Sunday evening's decisive matchup, the Fort Mill, S.C. native went 3-for-3 with a pair of walks drawn, including a leadoff walk in the 10th inning of Army's 6-5 win.
With the series win, Army will travel to Holy Cross for the Patriot League Championship Series, beginning Saturday.
Lehman has started 12 games on the mound this year, with a 4.27 ERA and 45 strikeouts over 71.2 innings pitched. He is also batting .289 with a .806 OPS and one home run.
