May 15, 2025 | Softball
WEST POINT, N.Y. — Junior third baseman Ashton White received another postseason honor on Thursday, being named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Northeast First Team.
The Alabama native receives the first team nod for the first time in her career, becoming the seventh player in program history to be named to the honor. White joins Nicki Robbins (1999-2002), Veronica Lauzon (2005), Erin McClain (2009), Alex Reynolds (2023), Kasey McCravey (2014-16) and Kayla Edwards (2024).
The junior finished the season leading the team during the regular season in nearly every offensive category, including a .389 batting average, 1.000 OPS, .568 slugging percentage, 74 hits, 14 doubles, 21 extra-base hits, and 42 RBIs. She also posted a .432 on-base percentage, added 33 runs and drew 14 walks.
Alongside the first team honor, White also became the fifth player in program history to earn Patriot League Player of the Year honors—the first since 2016. She joined a distinguished group that includes Colleen McCabe (1991), Paula Bostwick (1992), three-time winner Nicki Robbins (2000–02), and Kasey McCravey (2016).
Ashton White was also placed on the Patriot League First Team in the postseason and named the Patriot League Preseason Player of the Year on January 31.
