OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Army West Point Baseball's Justin Lehman has been named a John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year semifinalist by the College Baseball Foundation.
The senior finished his Army career with a 2025 batting average of .316 and a 4.02 senior season ERA.
He had previously been named to the John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year Watchlist during the season and was named John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Week Award May 13 after a Patriot League Semifinal Series win at Navy.
Across the postseason, the Fort Mill, S.C. native batted a blistering .524 across 21 at-bats, and compiled a 1.32 ERA across two starts and 13.2 innings pitched.
In Game 2 of the Patriot League Semifinal Series at Navy May 11, he delivered 142 pitches while striking out six and allowing just one run, while also recording an RBI as a DH. Later that day in Game 3 of the series, he moved to first base and went 3-for-3 with a pair of RBIs and walks drawn, including a leadoff walk in the decisive 10th inning.
Lehman pitched 6.2 frames in Game 2 of Army's Patriot League Championship Series at Holy Cross, allowing just one earned run while going 3-for-4 at the plate.
The John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year Award is presented annually by the College Baseball Foundation to honor the nation's top combo pitcher-position player.
Olerud, who was inducted into the National College Baseball Hall of Fame in 2007, was a standout pitcher and first baseman at Washington State University from 1987 through 1989.
Finalists for the John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year Award will be announced on June 4, with the 2025 winner to be announced at a date to be finalized later that month.
