CHESTER, Pa. – In conjunction with Philadelphia Union and Navy Athletics, Army West Point Athletics and Men's and Women's Soccer announce that Army-Navy Cup, presented by Leidos, will return to Subaru Park on Friday, October 10. For the first time in the event's 14-year history, the annual rivalry will include both Men's and Women's soccer matches in a marquee doubleheader that underscores the continued growth and prestige of this nationally recognized collegiate event.
Â
Kickoff for Army-Navy Cup XIV is set for 4:00 p.m. for the Women's match and 7:00 p.m. for the Men's match. Tickets will go on sale in July, with one ticket granting access to both matches. The Union will handle all ticket sales for both teams.Â
Â
Philadelphia Union has hosted Army-Navy Cup at Subaru Park since its inaugural edition in 2012. Last year's matchup drew 10,134 fans—the highest-attended regular-season game in NCAA Division I men's soccer across the season. Army currently leads the series 6-3-5.
Â
Both matches in 2025 will also be part of the Star Series presented by USAA.Â
Â
"As we enter year 14 of the Army-Navy Cup, a match that has been a cornerstone of men's soccer since 2012, we reflect on the incredible support from the Philadelphia Union," said Army Director of Athletics, Tom Theodorakis. "Their world-class facilities at Subaru Park and unwavering leadership have made this event one of the premier collegiate soccer fixtures in the country. With over 10,000 attendees last year, it's clear that this partnership continues to provide an unforgettable experience for our cadets and soccer fans alike."
Â
"We are thrilled to extend the Army-Navy Cup and the thank you to the Union and all involved for continuing this tradition. It's a special opportunity for our cadet-athletes to play the most attended game in college soccer, in a pro stadium, and a rivalry unmatched in college athletics," said Army Men's head coach Brian Plotkin. "This year we share the day with our Women's program as the Army-Navy Cup is a doubleheader for the first time. What a special moment for both academies to display their programs in a wonderful setting and engage with the community."
Â
"We're incredibly grateful to the Philadelphia Union for welcoming our Women's program to join our Men's team at Subaru Park for this season's Army-Navy doubleheader," said Army Women's head coach Tracy Chao. "It will truly be a tremendous opportunity for our cadet-athletes to experience the energy and excitement of this historic rivalry on a professional stage, in front of a passionate crowd. Credit to Navy head Women's soccer coach Carin Gabarra for her initiative in launching this series for our programs. We all know this night is about more than just a game; it's a celebration of service, tradition, and the pride shared by both programs and our incredible fan bases. Mark your calendars for October 10, you won't want to miss two great games."
Â
A season ago, the Black Knights defeated Navy 2-1, with a match-winning goal in the 84'. Army has won two of their past three meetings vs. Navy and has not lost since 2021, with a 2023 draw over that span.Â
Â
In 2024, both the Men's and Women's programs defeated both Navy and Air Force in the same season for the first time ever. The Women's team would then defeat Navy a second time November 3, a 1-0 win in the Patriot League Quarterfinals.Â
