Three Wrestlers Collect EIWA Academic Achievement Award

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point Wrestling's Dalton Harkins, Jakob Gilfoil and Wolfgang Frable each have earned EIWA Academic Achievement Award honors.

To qualify, wrestlers must have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.2 and participated in the EIWA Tournament, or achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and represented the EIWA and their institution at the NCAA Championships.

Harkins was a third place medalist at the 2025 EIWA Championships, and went on to represent Army at the NCAA Championships at 174 lbs. He was the final Black Knight standing in Philadelphia, taking a defeat in sudden victory to Pittsburgh's Luca Augustine in cons. Round 3, and one round away from Friday night's blood round.

Gilfoil finished eighth at the EIWA Championships as a plebe, with an 11-10 overall record at 184 lbs in 2024-25, also earning the academic accolade from the league.

Frable finished fifth at 197 lbs at the EIWA Championships and competed at the NCAA Championships, winning an opening round pigtail match.
Â
Harkins and Frable were two of the seven wrestlers to at NCAA Championships, the largest delegation since 2021 and tied for second-most in program history.

58 wrestlers league wide claimed the awards, representing nearly 50% of the entire field of wrestlers at the 2025 EIWA Championships. The full list of award winners is as follows.
