Army West Point, WPAOG Introduce New Development Hires

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point Athletics and the West Point Association of Graduates announce four new hires on the Athletics Development team. The staff additions follow national searches and are aligned with the Army West Point Athletics Fruits of Victory strategic plan.
"We are so excited to welcome Craig, Erica, Jalen, and Kenny to our Athletics Development team," said Associate Athletics Director, Development Steven Donohue. "We continue to invest in enhancements to our donor experience, and I am confident that this group will help take our efforts to new heights".

Hirings include:
Craig Bartnicki – Assistant Director, Donor Strategy
- Bartnicki will provide critical strategy analysis on athletic development processes, focusing on driving revenue and enhancing the donor experience.
- Bartnicki joins the team, having most recently served as the assistant director of E-commerce and ticket operations for Army West Point Athletics. Bartnicki is a 2023 graduate of the University of New Haven.
Erica Deaton – Director, Athletic Development Events
- Deaton will manage all Athletic Development events, including priority Army A Club and sport-specific alumni events.
- Deaton joins the team, having most recently served as engagement manager on the West Point Association of Graduates' Alumni Services team. Erica holds a culinary arts degree from Ogeechee Technical College.
Jalen Sharp '19 – Director, Leadership & Sport Specific Giving
- Sharp will manage a comprehensive sport-specific fundraising strategy, ensuring total alignment with Athletics and WPAOG campaign priorities.
- Sharp is a 2019 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he lettered as a member of the Army football team. In 2025, he earned a master's degree from Georgetown University.
Kenny McGovern – Assistant Director, Development Communications
- McGovern will be responsible for the communications efforts in support of the Athletics Development team.
- McGovern joins the team having most recently served as the assistant sports information director and graphic design manager at Marist University. McGovern is a 2022 graduate of St. Bonaventure University, and in 2025, he earned a master's degree from Marist University.
