MARIETTA, Ga. – Army West Point Men's Rugby couldn't hold off Life University's attack in the second half, giving up 21 unanswered points to fall 35-7 to the Running Eagles, and 2-1 on the season.
After a Life try and conversion less than two minutes into thr fixture, Army tied the contest with a Luke Leech try at the 8:40 mark in the first half, followed by a Howie Heller conversion.
The points were Leech's first of the season.
The rest of the match however was all Running Eagles, retaking the lead for good in the 11' and taking a 14-7 lead into the half.
Life recorded tries and sucsussful conversions in the 45', 66' and 69' to create breathing room down the stretch.
