Army Golf Coach Neal Grusczynski Promoted to Associate Head Coach

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point Head Golf Coach Chad Bagley has announced the promotion of assistant coach Neal Grusczynski to Associate Head Coach.
Grusczynski joined the Black Knights, after an initial stint during the 2015-16 season, for the second time in 2021.
"I'm excited to name Coach Neal Grusczynski as the Associate Head Coach of the Army Golf Team", Bagley said. "In his second stint with the program, Neal Grusczynski is fully immersed in the mission of the United States Military Academy and the Army West Point Athletic Association to build, educate, train and inspire commissioned leaders of character committed to the Army Values and ready for service to our Army and Nation. Neal has a great ability to connect with players; he has a great eye for talent in leadership and golf and has a great passion for teaching the game of golf. Promoting Neal was an easy decision, and I couldn't be more excited to continue building Army Golf with him by our side."
Since his return to the banks of the Hudson River, the Black Knights have secured three victories in the Star Match over Navy. Additionally, Army has earned two consecutive victories over fellow service academies at the Commander-In-Chief's Cup. The Black Knights have secured two top three finishes at the Patriot League Championship, most recently at the 2025 Patriot League Championships in Lewisburg, Pa.
Grusczynski helped coach John Heckel Jr., who was most recently named the Patriot League Men's Golf Player of the Year and a three-time GCAA All-America Scholar.
During his first season with the Black Knights, during the 2015-16 season, he helped the Black Knights to a victory over the Navy Midshipmen and helped coach at the Inaugural Bush Cup. Army also celebrated a Patriot League Championship
.
On the course, Grusczynski's impressive list of accolades includes qualifying for the '02 and '04 USGA Amateur
Championships, '02 and '04 USGA Public Links Championships, and playing professionally on the NGA-Hooters Tour from 2005-08.
He graduated from Xavier University with a bachelor's degree in sport management in 2005. Neal is currently the only XU men's golfer to have competed in every event all 4 years of his eligibility finishing 9th all time with a scoring average of 74.44.
