Football’s Jones Named American Conference Special Teams Player of the Week

IRVING, Texas (October 12) – Army West Point football junior kicker Dawson Jones has been named American Conference Special Teams Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
The Waxhaw, N.C. native made a 25-yard field goal as time expired in Saturday's game to give Army a 20-17 win over Tulane. Earlier in the contest, Jones connected from 31 yards to tie the game in the fourth quarter.
Jones is 4-for-6 on field goal attempts this season, with one attempt blocked Saturday and another just missing from 54 yards in Week 1 vs. Bryant.
Army improved to 3-2 overall and 2-1 with the win over Tulane.
