February 17, 2026 | Men's Track and Field
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After a strong showing this weekend, Army West Point Track and Field freshman runner Todd Worth was named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Worth, a native of Helotes, Texas, competed in both the Valentine Invitational hosted by Boston U., and the Crimson Open hosted by Harvard. In Boston, Worth put together an impressive time of 1:50.64 in the 800m to finish sixth. The time was a personal best and the sixth best time in the Patriot League this season. At Harvard, Worth posted a 4:22.10 in the mile run.
"Todd has a very high ceiling on the track, and he is just figuring out how to match his physical tools to the competitive landscape of collegiate track and field," said Director of Track and Field Mike Smith. "He has great speed and stamina which is a lethal combination in the middle-distance races. He will be factor at the Patriot League level and beyond as he continues to develop. We saw his talent on display this weekend as he put himself in position to win a competitive race.
Worth is in the midst of an impressive two week stretch, as he has posted personal best times in the 1000m, mile and 800m over that stretch.
Army and Worth are back in action this Saturday for the West Point Tune-Up, as the program gears up for the Patriot League Indoor Track and Field Championship on Feb. 28 through March 1.
