March 24, 2026 | Men's Track and Field
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Following a strong showing on Friday afternoon at the Army Open, Robby Manse was named the Patriot League Field Athlete of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Manse, a senior thrower from Middletown, N.J., took home third place in the hammer throw with a mark of 63.15m. He was the top collegiate finisher in the event.
"Robby is picking up the hammer three meters ahead of where we were at this time last year," said assistant coach Brian Woodbury. "We have work to do with much bigger goals ahead. I expect to see some great improvement week over week, and I'm excited to see him compete when it matters the most. We should be able to take hammer deep into the postseason."
Last outdoor season, Manse thrived in the hammer throw, taking home first place in the event at the Patriot League Outdoor Track and Field Championships. At the NCAA Division I East First Round, he finished in 25th.
This is Manse's fourth weekly award this year, with the previous three coming during the indoor season. He will be back in action this week at the UCF Knights Invite on Friday and Saturday.
