Rabble Rousers Shine at NCA/NDA Collegiate Championships, Earning Two Program-Best Finishes

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — The Army West Point rabble rousers saw a historic week at the NCA & NDA Collegiate Cheer and Dance Championship, seeing top finishes in multiple categories.
The Rabs competed in Division IA in three different categories, Game Day, Advanced Small Coed and Pom. Army earned second overall in the Game Day competition and fifth in the Advanced Small Coed category, both being the best finished the team has seen in program history.
On Saturday, the Rabs competed in the Bandshell for the Game Day finals, finishing with a raw score of 93.7667 with zero deductions, earning a final event mark of 93.075, good for the program-best second place finish.
The team finished just over three points behind the champion, BYU, who finished with a 96.3875 overall event score. Army also improved on its finish in the 2025 season, where the team finished fourth with a 87.4458 event mark in its first year competing in the category.
In the prelims for Game Day, the Rabs finished with a 92.0 raw score and 91.0 event score with only one deduction, good for second at the time.
Army sees a fifth-place finish in only its third year of competing in Advanced Small Coed category. The Rabs finished its performance at the Bandshell with a raw score of 89.0667, seeing zero deductions. The Rabs finished with an overall event score of 89.05, good for a fifth-place finish, the best finish in the program's history.
The placement was a leap ahead of the team's 2025 finish, with ninth overall last season. Army's fifth-place finish placed them above programs including Iowa State, Louisville, Clemson, UCF and Kansas.
In the prelims, the Rabs finished with a raw score of 89.0 overall, seeing zero deductions. Their finals and prelims performance marked the second straight year the team saw zero deductions throughout the week in the Advanced Small Coed Category.
