Chernik, Duffy and Reilly Named USA Lacrosse All-Americans

SPARKS, Md. – Army West Point women's lacrosse seniors Sarah Chernik, Brigid Duffy and Allison Reilly were named USA Lacrosse All-Americans as announced by USA Lacrosse on Thursday afternoon. Both Duffy and Reilly were named to the first team while Chernik earned honorable mention honors.
Chernik has appeared in all 18 games for the Black Knights, posting career highs in caused turnovers and draw controls. Chernik is currently fifth in the Patriot League in draw controls with 95 total going into the NCAA Tournament. For the Milton, Ga., native this is her first recognition as an All-American in her career and was a First Team All-Patriot League selection this season.
Duffy currently has 70 goals; 28 assists and 98 points going into the NCAA Tournament and lead the Black Knights in goals and ranks second the Patriot League. She also ranks first in the conference in caused turnovers with 46 and ranks first in goals per game at 3.89. Nationally, she is the third highest active goal scorer in Division I lacrosse and one of two active players with 350+ points. The Queensbury, N.Y. native, ranks fifth in goals per game and fourth in shots per game. In total goals, Brigid Duffy ranks sixth in country and ninth in total points. Duffy was also recently named a Tewaaraton Top Five finalist, and this is her fourth USA Lacrosse All-American recognition and second consecutive on the first team.
Reilly currently has a team and Patriot League high 116 points this season, which ranks second in the country. The senior attacker has earned career highs in assists, points, groundballs, caused turnovers and draw controls. Additionally, she currently leads the NCAA in assists while ranking second in assists per game. For the Sayville, N.Y. native, this is her third consecutive USA Lacrosse All-American recognition and first time earning first team honors.
