Our work continues to be guided by the four pillars of the Fruits of Victory Strategic Plan:
- Competitive Excellence
- Extraordinary Division I Experience
- Public Engagement & Revenue Generation
- Sustainability
It's been an exciting month, both professionally and personally (lifelong Knicks fan).
Â
Professionally, I had the opportunity to attend the NACDA Convention in Las Vegas, where athletic directors from across the country gathered to discuss the future of college athletics. It was a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas, learn from colleagues, and represent Army West Point on the national stage.
Â
While there, I also had the chance to attend a Stanley Cup Final game with Army graduate and Vegas Golden Knights owner Bill Foley - another reminder of the incredible impact West Point graduates continue to have across every profession.
Â
I'm also thoroughly enjoying the World Cup being hosted across the United States. I've had the opportunity to attend two matches so far, and as someone with Scottish roots in our family, it was especially exciting to see the Tartan Army in full force. Their passion and support for Scotland were something to behold.
Â
Closer to home, I had the opportunity to get out in the field during Cadet Field Training to see what our tremendous cadets are doing and even participate in a Call for Fire exercise - Only at West Point!

A Transformational Partnership with USAA
Earlier this month, we proudly announced a transformational expansion of our partnership with USAA - an organization whose mission and values closely align with those of West Point.
Â
This long-term agreement represents one of the most significant partnerships in the history of Army Athletics and will help advance our strategic priorities (as outlined in the Fruits of Victory) for years to come. The partnership supports the future Athletic Center of Excellence, expands resources for our cadet-athletes, and further strengthens the Army Athletics brand.
Â
More importantly, this partnership is a tremendous vote of confidence in the future of Army West Point Athletics. It is about much more than branding - it is about investing in future leaders, preserving what makes West Point special, and ensuring our department continues to thrive for generations to come.

Â
A CLUB - Athletic Director Circle Experience
One of the highlights of the past month was spending time with members of the A Club and our Athletic Director Circle during our annual trip. These experiences are about much more than travel - they are an opportunity to strengthen relationships, share the vision for Army West Point Athletics, and thank those whose generosity continues to shape the future of our department.
A reminder that supporting the A Club impacts the resources, facilities, and experiences we can provide our cadet-athletes while helping us remain competitive in the ever-changing landscape of Division I athletics. Most importantly, these trips reinforce something I've learned quickly in this role - Army Athletics has an incredible family. I am grateful for the commitment, friendship, and passion of everyone who joined us, and I look forward to continuing to build on that momentum throughout the coming year. Welcome to Army West Point, Scott Thacker
Please join me in welcoming Scott Thacker as the new head coach of Army West Point Swimming & Diving. Throughout our national search, we were looking for a leader who embraces the mission of West Point, develops young men and women of character, and has the vision to continue elevating one of the nation's premier swimming and diving programs. Scott impressed everyone he met throughout the process with his leadership, authenticity, and competitive mindset, and we are excited to welcome him and his wife, Whitney, to the Army family. I know they will make an immediate impact on our cadet-athletes and our program.

Looking Back on an Outstanding Year
As we head into the summer, it's worth reflecting on another tremendous year for Army West Point Athletics. Across our programs, our cadet-athletes and coaches continued to demonstrate what is possible when excellence, discipline, and purpose come together.
Â
Highlights included:

- NCAA Tournament appearance for Women's Lacrosse under Coach Michelle Tumolo and the first NCAA tournament win in the history of the program.Â
- Patriot League Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance for Women's Soccer under Coach Tracy Chao.
- Patriot League Regular Season Championship for Baseball under Coach Chris Tracz.
- Patriot League Championship for Women's Cross Country.
- Patriot League Championship for Women's Outdoor Track & Field under Coach Mike Smith.
- Historic USAG Collegiate National Championship for Gymnastics under Coach JD Reive, along with seven All-America honors and National Coaching Staff of the Year recognition.
- Katie Kuester earned the Maggie Dixon Award as the WBCA Division I Rookie Coach of the Year during her first season leading Army Women's Basketball.
Collectively, these accomplishments reflect the culture of excellence our cadet-athletes, coaches, and staff continue to build every day.
Celebrating Our National Performers:Â Nathan Davis Earns All-America Honors
Congratulations to senior Nathan Davis on an outstanding season that concluded with Second Team All-America honors in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Oregon.

Congratulations to Brigid Duffy
Brigid Duffy concluded one of the most remarkable careers in Academy history by being named a finalist for the Tewaaraton Award, collegiate lacrosse's highest individual honor. Competing at an elite level in both soccer and lacrosse while excelling academically and as a leader embodies everything we strive for at West Point.

Welcoming the Class of 2030
Finally, our attention now turns toward one of my favorite days of the year, Reception Day. Today, I had the opportunity to join our team as we practiced for R-Day—and I'm not sure I would have made it. I only had to report to the Cadet in the Red Sash twice during the dry run, and that was more than enough!
On R Day, we will welcome the newest members of the Corps of Cadets as they begin their West Point journey. For many of our incoming cadet-athletes, this marks the first step toward an experience unlike any other - one that will challenge them academically, physically, militarily, and as leaders.
Â
Watching these young men and women transform over the next four years into Army officers is one of the greatest privileges of serving at West Point.
Â
We look forward to welcoming the next generation - thank you again for your continued support of Army West Point Athletics.
Â
Have a wonderful summer.
Â
THANK YOU
I'd ask you to continue to do what you can to support Army West Point Athletics and our cadet-athletes by:
• Planning to attend athletics events and competitions – home and on the road!
• Purchasing season tickets, joining the Army A Club, and becoming a corporate partner
• Wear the colors. Get others to do the same
