Women’s Rugby Drops Match to LaSalle

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point women's rugby took on LaSalle on Friday night at Anderson Rugby Complex, and despite taking a one-try lead into the break, the Black Knights were outscored in the second half and fell 27-7.
Army falls to 0-2 on the young season to date.
Friday night's match featured a new Starting 15 combination, with several young faces seeing their season debuts.
Samantha Strickler capped a flurry of Army activity on the try zone's doorstep late in the first half, putting the Black Knights ahead 5-0 before an Emily Vizcarra conversion.
However, the Explorers would tie the fixture in the 59', before taking the lead for good in the 68.'
Another pair of LaSalle tries bookended a penalty down the stretch, with the Explorers finding the try zone to conclude the match.
