Eric Szczepinski joined Army West Point in July 2022 as Director of Athletic Communications. In February 2024, he was promoted to Assistant Athletics Director of Athletic Communications.
In his role, he serves as the primary media contact for the football program, overseeing media coordination for Head Coach Jeff Monken, assistant coaches and cadet-athletes. He also serves as the primary contact for the Rifle program.
Szczepinski comes to West Point after a four-year stint working in the National Football League. During his tenure in the NFL, Szczepinski worked within the communications departments with the Cincinnati Bengals (2018), Chicago Bears (2019-20), and Green Bay Packers (2021).
In addition, Szczepinski helped spearhead communications efforts for the NFL league office at two consecutive Super Bowls following the 2018-19 seasons (LIII in Atlanta and LIV in Miami). There, he aided communications plans for Opening Night, NFL Honors, and media availability at the teams’ hotels.
Szczepinski graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor’s degree in communications from Walsh University in Canton, Ohio.
Szczepinski is a native of Cleveland, OH and currently resides with his wife Melisa in Fishkill, N.Y.
