2018: Ollar's junior campaign was highlighted by a trip to the NCAA Championships...only athlete to compete seven events for the Black Knights...at the Maine Dual, placed third overall and for Army with a time of 25:44.6...placed fourth at the Army open, which was the best finish by a Cadet, with a time of 23:58.1...finished 25th at the Paul Short Run with a time of 25:54...Won the Army-Navy Star Meet, crossing the line at 24:58.98...lead all Black Knights with a second place finish at the Patriot League Championship with a time of 25:36.0, earning him First Team All-Patriot League and leading Army to its second straight league title...placed third at the NCAA Northeast Regional with a time of 32:36.6, qualifying for the NCAA Championship...placed 71st at NCAA Championship at 30:25.2, the best finish by a Black Knight at the event since 1998.
2017: One of six athletes to compete in all five meets in the 2017 season… placed in the top three for Army in each meet… at the Maine Dual placed second overall and for Army with a time of 25:22.9… placed 57th at the Paul Short Run and third for Army with a time of 24:28… earned second for the Black Knights with a time of 23:19.5 at the Navy Dual star meet which was good for fourth place overall… scored a ninth place spot and third for Army at the Patriot League Championships with a time of 24:33.05…took second for the Black Knights and 33rd overall at the NCAA Regional meet, clocking in at 32:55.9.
2016: Competed in four of the six meets as a freshman… Kicked off his freshman campaign with an 11th place finish at the Maine Dual Meet… Finished fifth in the Iona “Paddy Doyle” Meet of Champions… Against Navy placed 20th with a time of 25:56.01… Captured 87th at the Paul Short Invitational… Named Patriot League Rookie of the Week once.
High School: Hails from the same high school as Army West Point Track and Field/Cross Country legend Dan Browne. Two-time runner-up at the Oregon 6A State Cross Country Championship (2014, 2015). Personal best of 15:01.00- 5,000 meter cross country. During the outdoor track and field 6A State Championship held at the University of Oregon, Roman won the 1,500-meter run with a performance of 3:51.30 and also finished runner-up in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 8:22.24. His 3:51.30 ranks no. 10 All-Time in the state of Ore. and was the ninth fastest time by a U.S. high schooler during the 2016 outdoor season.
