Alex Cremer
- Title:
- Assistant Swimming Coach
Alex Cremer joined the swimming & diving coaching staff at Army West Point in September 2023 as an Assistant Coach.
Since joining the team, Alex has primarily worked with mid-distance and IM-focused swimmers. Outside of the water, he plays a key role in shaping the dryland program and collaborates closely with the Strength and Conditioning department to design the lifting program.
Prior to joining the West Point coaching staff, Alex served as an assistant coach with Club Wolverine in Ann Arbor from 2015 to 2020. During his tenure, he coached swimmers across various age groups and, from 2017 to 2020, worked specifically with the high school group. In this role, he contributed to the development of numerous state champions and coached athletes who qualified for Junior Nationals and U.S. Nationals. In addition to his on-deck responsibilities, Alex also led the club’s dryland and strength and conditioning program.
Alex’s experience managing the dryland and strength program extended beyond the pool deck, leading him to manage a CrossFit gym. This opportunity allowed him to further develop his expertise in strength and conditioning, as well as hone his coaching skills. He now brings this diverse background and passion for athlete development back to the pool as part of the Army West Point swimming & diving coaching staff.
