Alex Cremer Promoted to Men's Associate Head Coach of Swimming and Diving

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point Director of Swimming and Diving Scott Thacker has announced the promotion of Alex Cremer to Men's Associate Head Coach.
Cremer joined the Army West Point swimming and diving coaching staff in September 2023 as an assistant coach. In that role, he primarily worked with mid-distance and IM swimmers while helping shape the team's dryland program and design its strength training program in collaboration with the strength and conditioning staff.
During his tenure, Cremer helped lead the men's team to a 19-6 overall record and a 10-2 conference record since the start of the 2023-24 season. He also helped guide the women's team to a 23-5 overall record and a 10-2 record in conference competition during that span.
Beyond the teams' success in competition, Cremer has served as a leader and mentor for cadet-athletes throughout his tenure.
"Alex has proven himself to be an invaluable leader, elite strategist, and tireless recruiter for our men's program. His ability to connect with, develop, and inspire our team both in and out of the pool made this decision an easy one."
