2018: Earned a record of 9-9 overall in singles as the No. 1 flight … finished 8-11 in doubles also as the No. 1 flight … notched his third consecutive victories in singles and doubles against Air Force … earned First Team All-Patriot League accolades.
2017: After playing his entire junior year at the No. 1 flight, Nguyen went 16-7 overall in the spring and 5-0 in regular season Patriot League play... During the tournament, Nguyen went 1-1 with the win coming in the championship match against Navy… In doubles went 17-11 overall, 4-1 in Patriot League play and 2-1 in the tournament… Named the Patriot League Player of the Year… Named Patriot League Doubles Team of the Year.
2014-15: Concluded the year with a 17-15 overall singles record … one of six Black Knights to post double-digit singles victories and one of only four to record at least eight dual-match singles wins, finishing 11-7 in dual competition … went 7-5 in doubles action, including a 4-1 mark in duals … competed primarily at No. 5 and No. 6 singles … won all three of his Patriot League singles matches during the regular season and went 2-0 in the Patriot League Tournament … postseason victories came from the No. 6 spot against Bucknell and Navy … also went undefeated against league opponents in doubles competition, including regular-season wins over Holy Cross and Loyola and a Patriot League quarterfinal victory against Lafayette.
HIGH SCHOOL: Four-star recruit out of Leland High School ... USTA Zone Team champion (2012) ... four-time BVALS champion ... competed in the USTA National Championships twice as well as USTA Winter National Championships ... four-time Mt.
