West Point, N.Y. – The Army West Point rifle team (1-1, 0-1 GARC) is on the road for a pair of matches this weekend where the Black Knights will take on Great American Rifle Conference (GARC) rival Kentucky on Saturday and Morehead State on Sunday.

- The Black Knights, idle following GARC loss to Memphis two weeks ago, are listed at No. 16 in the latest Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association rankings.
- Kentucky is ranked sixth, while Morehead State came in at No. 18.
- Army has top teams scores of 2342 in air rifle, 2299 in smallbore and 4641 aggregate score this season.
- Marvin Lewis had the top score in air rifle shooting a 589.
- Nathan Brewer had the top score in smallbore with 579.
SCOUTING KENTUCKY (6-1, 1-0 GARC)
- Kentucky captured second at the GARC championships last year and placed fourth at the NCAA championships.
- The Wildcats are coming off a 4688-4645 win over Navy just two weeks ago.
- Kentucky is led by junior Billy Azzinaro who shot a personal best 1177 aggregate score and 588 in smallbore.
- Last year, the teams met at West Point where the Wildcats claimed a 4649-4597 victory over Army.
SCOUTING MOREHEAD STATE (1-2)
- After defeating Virginia Military Institute, the Eagles lost to No. 15 Jacksonville State (4642-4612) and No. 10 Ole Miss (4642-4604).
- Morehead State set school records in aggregate (4612) and air rifle (2334) in the team's first match of the season against VMI.
- Karly Potts fired the top mark of the season in air rifle of 587.
- Seth Baker and Sarah Fink both recorded 576 to lead the Eagles in smallbore.
