Men’s Rugby Set to Battle Penn State

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point men's rugby team will host the fourth-ranked Penn State Nittany Lions with first place in Rugby East on the line on Saturday at the Anderson Rugby Complex. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m.
The first top-10 matchup of the 2016-17 season will be the third all-time meeting between the two sides. The Black Knights currently hold a 2-0 advantage in the series. Penn State was ranked in both of the prior meetings, entering the match in 2014-15 sixth in the nation and eighth in 2015-16.

ARMY (6-0, 5-0 Rugby East)
• The Black Knights are coming off a record performance, defeating Delaware 81-5 on the road last weekend.
• Army ranks second in the nation in points scored (278) and point differential ( 256).
• The Cadets have allowed the second-fewest points per game at 4.4, trailing only Indiana.
• Junior fly half Jon Kim leads the scoring effort for Army with 66 points on one try, 23 conversions and five penalty kicks.
• Junior fullback Jake Lachina has scored a team-high six tries on the season.
• Senior wing Andy Sullivan has made the most of his opportunities on the pitch, contributing five tries in the two games he's played.

• The Nittany Lions lead the nation in points scored with 310 and point differential at 281.
• Former Army player Thomas Del Pino now plays for Penn State.
• Penn State has scored 66 or more points in its last five games after scoring 32 in its season-opener against Queens University.
• The Nittany Lions have recorded two shutouts this season, and have allowed 46 points through their six games.
• The most points they have allowed in one game was 24 against St. Bonaventure.
