West Point, N.Y. – The Army West Point rifle team is kicking off a five-match home stand against No. 9 Ole Miss on Friday and No. 1 West Virginia on Sunday.

- The Black Knights (2-2, 0-2 GARC) captured second at the President's Trophy Match over the weekend.
- Army gained two wins over service academy rival No. 16 Navy and Coast Guard 4646-4607 and 4646-4474, respectively.
- The Black Knights fell to Great American Rifle Conference (GARC) opponent No. 4 Air Force 4698-4646.
- Sophomore Nathan Brewer led the way for the Black Knights, shooting a 583 in air rifle and a 592 in smallbore. Â
- Ole Miss started off the season taking on Nebraska, where it fell 4659-4654 giving the Rebels their first conference loss of the season.
- The Rebels took down Morehead State 4642-4604 the following weekend.
- Two weeks ago, Ole Miss faced Jacksonville and lost by one point 4656-4655.
SCOUTING WEST VIRGINIA (5-0, 3-0 GARC)
- West Virginia kicked off the season taking down GARC opponent Ohio State, 4714-4674.
- The Mountaineers then went on a three-match road trip, taking down N.C. State, Akron and Ohio State 4709-4671, 4724-4627 and 4721-4650, respectively.
- West Virginia returned home to take on Memphis capturing their fifth victory of the year 4713-4650.
- 2016 Olympic gold medalist Ginny Thrasher will try to keep the Mountaineers undefeated on the seaosn.
- Army will finish 2016 play at home against No. 5 TCU on Nov. 20, at 9am.
