Women’s Tennis Concludes Regular Season at Lehigh

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point women's tennis team finishes its regular season with a trip to Lehigh on Thursday, April 14. The Black Knights, currently holding onto the second seed for the Patriot League Championships next weekend, sport an 18-5 overall record and are 4-1 in league play. Lehigh is 8-7 this spring and 3-3 in the Patriot League. First serve is scheduled for 3 p.m.

Army topped Bucknell on Senior Day this past Sunday by a score of 5-2. The Black Knights ended a two-game slide with the win.
Junior Nancy Porter was the lone Cadet to win a singles and doubles match. She paired with senior Haley O'Connor for a 6-3 win in the third doubles position before beating Stephanie Pino in the sixth singles slot 6-1, 6-3. The Amarillo, Texas, native is the team-leader with 19 singles wins this season and is second on the team in doubles victories (23-9). She has won nine of her last 10 singles matches.
PECK GOES FOR 400
Army West Point head coach Paul Peck will be going for his 400th career win on Thursday afternoon. Peck has been in charge of the women's tennis program for 22 years and has compiled a record of 399-197. He would become only the second coach in Academy history across any sport to reach 400 wins at the school. Jack Riley, former Black Knights hockey coach, is the only coach with more wins (542).
SCOUTING LEHIGH
Lehigh has lost its last two conference matches after winning three of the first four. Playing against Bucknell and Boston University last week, the Mountain Hawks lost 7-0 each match.
Sophomore Christina Auyeung is having another strong season following a remarkable freshman campaign. The 2015 Patriot League Rookie of the Year and First Team All-Patriot League selection is currently 9-5 in the top singles flight this spring and 9-6 in doubles.

Army holds the all-time edge in the series 27-2. The Black Knights won last year's meeting, 5-2, at West Point.
NEXT UP: Patriot League Championships hosted by Navy
A win against Lehigh will maintain the number two seed for the Black Knights for the Patriot League Championships. The tournament, hosted by Navy, is set to begin on Thursday, April 21. Army has won 14 Patriot League titles and is looking for its first since 2013.
