Rifle falls to NC State

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point rifle team fell, 4,673-4,668, to NC State on Saturday at home to start the second half of the 2016-17 season.

- The Wolfpack took the top three aggregate scores at Tronsrue and were followed by three Army shooters.
- Marvin Lewis was the top aggregate scorer for the Black Knights compiling a mark of 1,171.
- Lewis was joined by Danielle Cuomo (1,167) and Payne Nunn (1,167) to round-out the top five.
HOW IT HAPPENED IN SMALLBORE
- NC State's Lauren Phillips was the top scorer in smallbore with a 584.
- Army was led by Nunn who had a score of 583.
- Nunn is joined by Lewis (581), Cuomo (579) and Nathan Brewer (576).
HOW IT HAPPENED IN AIR RIFLE
- The Wolfpack took the top three spots in Air Rifle with scores from Lucas Kozeniesky (595), Caitlyn Ford (592) and Lauren Phillips (591).
- Lewis was the Cadets' top scorer in air rifle with a score of 590.
- Cuomo (588), Maddy Erikson (587), and Nunn (584) were the next-best scorers for the Black Knights.
