COACHES CORNER
"We were very good this weekend. We did not compete everyone as we look ahead to the championship meets that are coming, but the guys that we brought to Princeton did a lot of really good things. I place a great deal of emphasis on competing to win. More often than not our sport is mark based. We talk about time, height or distance. While that is important it is just as important that we teach our people how to find ways to win, how to respond to adversity and how to get to the finish line before everyone else."
Â
Yesterday and today our guys repeatedly won. While the times were not always a personal best or a nationally relevant mark the result were what matters. We won multiple heats of the 800-meter and the 1500-meter. Davis was top two in both races that he ran and if guys did not win, they were right there battling for the win. We can't control what heats our people are placed in. We can only enter and go compete and that is what we did. The results of this meet will serve us well as we head to the Patriot League Championships in two weeks. We are ready to battle for wins."
UP NEXT:
The Black Knights will compete in the Penn Relays April 27-29.
